How to distinguish the quality of fiberglass grating

At present, there are more and more manufacturers and distributors in the market, and the competition in the industry is becoming more and more fierce. Many companies are willing to sacrifice product quality to reduce production costs. However, the labor cost used in production has not been reduced, so the only way to reduce production costs is to control the raw materials used in production. This has resulted in uneven quality of FRP grating products on the market. So how can we discern the quality of FRP gratings?

A. Selection of raw materials. The raw materials used for FRP gratings are resin, FRP fiber filaments, and calcium powder, which are configured in a ratio of 1:1:1. Brand FRP gratings use unsaturated phthalic resin 196, which is colorless and transparent. Low viscosity, low heat release, low shrinkage, high-speed curing, high-speed compatibility, bright gloss; FRP fiber filaments use alkali-free type, high strength and toughness; heavy calcium powder uses 800 mesh or more.

B. Comparison of finished products. High-quality products have no obvious cracks and pores in appearance, and the color is bright and pure, with good transparency, certain toughness, high strength, good surface finish, and long service life; while inferior FRP grating products have more cracks and pores in appearance, impure colors, and insufficient gloss. Its service life is also short.

C. Practice is the only standard for testing the truth, and time is the fairest judge. The true strength of FRP grating will be exposed in the actual use process. The color of high-quality FRP grating will be slightly dim after a few years of use, and the whole board will be intact without obvious damage. The inferior FRP grating cannot withstand the test of practice. After a few years of use, there will be obvious damage such as corrosion, fracture, pores, etc. The board is not so flat, the color is seriously degraded, and the overall aging is generally used. FRP grating is used for 20 years, but after two years, the inferior one will show the phenomenon of overall aging, thus bringing huge losses to customers.
