The quality of FRP grating is lighter than galvanized sheet. It can bear twice the weight of wood; it has good insulation performance, and its appearance is more beautiful than steel grating. The color can have more changes, such as yellow, green, light gray, dark gray, etc. However, the glass fiber reinforced plastic grille is not suitable for use in the open air. They are exposed to sunlight and rain and are prone to ageing under ultraviolet radiation. The solution to this problem is to add anti-ultraviolet additives in the production process, which requires prior communication with the manufacturer before customizing the FRP grille.
Compared with FRP gratings, galvanized steel gratings have greater load-bearing capacity, and are mainly used for platform boards and step boards. The disadvantage is that the quality is heavier, the appearance is not as good as the glass fiber reinforced plastic grille, and it cannot be insulated.
The appearance of FRP grating brings convenience to people. FRP grating has strong corrosion resistance, magnetic insulation, natural anti-theft, weather resistance, load-bearing, easy cutting characteristics, etc., which makes up for the shortcomings of steel grating.
