1. Differences in appearance
The difference in appearance is the most obvious difference between the two. The appearance of fiberglass grating is based on the grating plate as the substrate and the cover plate as the bearing surface. The grid plate used as the substrate is not a single type, but can be a straight grid, a standard grid, or a convex grid. The fiberglass cover plate is mainly solid, or hollow in the middle or two layers in the center, but its surface is a solid closed type.
Overall, the fiberglass cover plate is a closed type plate. The surface cover plate is the same as the fiberglass cover plate, with no significant difference.
2. Different production processes
In terms of production technology, the requirements for fiberglass gratings are much higher than those for fiberglass cover plates. The first step is to mold the grating board and then hand lay the cover plate.
The fiberglass cover plate only requires a hand layup process. The main reason is that the fiberglass cover plate is mainly made of fiberglass felt and resin, while the fiberglass grille is mainly made of fiberglass yarn and resin, resulting in differences in the processing and manufacturing technology between the two.
3. Different performance
The disadvantage of fiberglass grating is that when put into use, the surface area of the cover plate cannot be too large, which can easily lead to detachment between the cover plate and the grating plate.
The disadvantage of fiberglass cover plates is that they are relatively bulky and inconvenient to handle and install. However, both have extremely high acid and alkali resistance, corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, aging resistance, high flame retardancy, non conductivity, non thermal conductivity, and long service life.
4. Different uses
Relatively speaking, fiberglass gratings have a wider range of uses, often used as trench covers, trench covers, cable trench covers, sewer trench covers, manhole covers, pool covers, and so on.
