FRP grids can be deployed by special equipment modified by tractors or cars, usually by manual deployment. The two ends of the paper tube of each roll of fiberglass mesh are marked with orange and blue marks. Before laying, the glue surface should be selected downward, and the color of the above mark should be at one end to facilitate the construction and avoid laying the glue surface. Incorrect. When placing the FRP grating, it should be flat, tightened and aligned on both sides. You can use a level to make the FRP grating have effective tension. The currently commonly used FRP gratings are self-adhesive and non-self-adhesive. Adhesives with self-adhesive glue can be directly laid on the horizontal base layer, while adhesives without self-adhesive glue usually use stainless steel clasps and steel nails. Both the Yangzhou section and the Nanjing section of Ningtong Expressway use glass fiber grids instead of self-adhesive glue. The materials required for fixing are:
①The fixed stainless steel snap ring of 50×50×0.3mm should be kept flat, not warped, and should be chamfered.
②2 inch steel nails.
When using fixed steel nails or stainless steel buckles to place the FRP grating, first fix the fixed buckle and one end of the steel nails to the substructure that has been sprayed with viscous asphalt. The nails can be hammered or nailed. Then stretch the grid longitudinally and fix it in sections, each with a length of 2-5m. It can also be divided into multiple parts according to the distance of the expansion joint, and the position of the steel nails is set in the gap of the expansion joint. When the grille is tightened, the glass fiber is in a straight and tensioned state in both the vertical and horizontal directions.
The overlap of FRP gratings is longitudinal overlap, the overlap width is not less than 20mm, and the horizontal overlap width is not less than 15mm. Longitudinal overlap should place the former on top of the latter according to the direction of asphalt paving. During the fixing process, do not nail the steel nails to the glass fiber reinforced plastic grid, and do not directly hit the glass fiber reinforced plastic grid with a hammer. If the steel nail breaks or the snap ring becomes loose after fixing, it needs to be fixed again. After placing and fixing the fiberglass grid, it must be properly rolled and stabilized with rubber rollers to make the fiberglass grid adhere firmly to the original road surface.
In actual construction, some construction units use the sticky layer of oil to directly spread the glass fiber grid, and then press the rollers tightly. The effect is better, and the glass fiber mesh is not easy to wrinkle.
In the actual operation process, the construction quality has a great influence on the future use of FRP gratings. Therefore, it is particularly important to strengthen quality supervision and improve the technical level of construction personnel.
